Although the exhaust port with the two pre-installed mounting studs uses the same hole-spacing as the intake, this intake manifold extension does not work for the exhaust due to the cut-out on the exhaust port. Depending on your vehicle type, this cast & machined "pipe" holds the carburetor at the proper angle and away from the engine head. The collared pipe fits down into the exhaust port with the diamond-shaped rhombus flange fitting over the studs.Īn elbow-shaped carburetor joint (or intake manifold extension) is included with this engine. This is by design and not a product defect.
The engine exhaust port has a machined cut-out side to receive a collared exhaust pipe.
